a Night at Carnival

Oh what a fun night it was at Jerry Kleiner's Carnival, the girls and I had such a great time sipping on all the 10cane rum concoctions they had to offer. Aside from the best guacamole and a Sucia martini(rum, olive juice with passion fruit mix) delish,we were so entertained sitting in the lounge. The entertainment consisted of a wonderful band from Mexico, and super fun Brazilian dancers who really spiced up the show. Who new Wednesday would be such a hit? 10cane at it again!

Im kicking it off with family time in Milwaukee followed by a short stint in Madison.
While in Wisco I hope to accomplish the following:
Sleep
Eat a Plaza Burger
Eat any type of saucey dish at Chautara
2 scoops of Orange chocolate chip custard from the union
soak up sun at the terrace
a stroll through The Taste of Madison(Fried Cheese Curds!Deelish!)
Frosty glass of Spotted Cow on TAP!
A night cap at Cafe Montemarte, King Klub or Pauls club
a slice at Ians pizza(only if it turns into that kind of night:))
A proper brunch in Madison

AND THERES NO SMOKING ALLOWED IN MADISON. HOORAY

New Accomodations April 2008

Check out this new gorgeous space in ITALIA. Masseria Alchimia is the new venture of the gem of a place Trulli Country House. I cant wait to see some photos of this place and hopefully one day see it with my own eyes. These are some photos of Trulli. Masseria is sure to be of the same unique style and laid back air.

FIFI Lapin finally framed and on display at Missallfuns space

After much deciding about how to approach my sweet FIFIS I went the fun route, obviously. Our friends at Jayson Home and Garden Frame outlet really outdid themselves. I couldnt be happier about the way the turned out. FIFI in Gucci sports a lavender matt with a precious gold-gilded textured frame and my FIFI in CHANEL sports a charcoal matt with a zebra wood frame. Missallfun approved!

via luxist. Miss Zeta-Jones's undergoes a treatment that costs £200 and involves washing her hair with a truffle-based shampoo. Her hair is then smeared with beluga caviar flown in fresh from Iran. The fatty acids in the fish eggs are said to give her hair its famed shine. It all makes sense!

New Whole foods hits the loop

Its coming. The largest whole foods in the Chicago area is scheduled to open in the south loop on August 8th at Roosevelt and canal. This location will feature in house coffee bean roasting, an all organic baby section, complete with dressing rooms and wine tasting. Also going on in that hood, Home Depot sits a block to the west, while a Roosevelt Collection condo-and-retail center is planned next to the Target store at Roosevelt and Clark. The Roosevelt Collection, just west of the Target store, will house specialty retailers, six or seven restaurants, a high-end coffee shop and, reportedly, retailers such as Victoria's Secret and Banana Republic. Whoa thats nuts!!!

Current Read: Cooking for Mr. Latte

I enjoy reading about food. I especially enjoy it because I have a short attention span and get bored with subjects. reading about food is short, sweet and inspiring. Cooking for Mr. latte may seem a bit silly but it eases me to sleep. A few pages of good writing followed by a recipe from a memorable meal and im happily ready for bed. I mean shes a food critic, how fun is that? The best thing about this kind of read is that I can read this book over and over again. Food never gets boring and Ill never remember all the recipes or food banter. Amanda Hesser writes a chapter about eating alone where she accounts of a great meal at Pearl Oyster bar in NYC. Ceasar Salad with English muffin croutons. de lish! Today, I log into NY times and find the very restaurant filling suit. you see my silly reads are very pertinent to today's culinary news.
